The Department of Information and Communications of the Border Service of the State Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic reports that as of 09:30 on September 16, 2022, the situation on the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the state border continues to be tense.
The meeting will be attended by border representatives of the Parties.
The border Service of the State Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic notes that the shooting continues along the entire perimeter of the Kyrgyz-Tajik border in the Batken region, where tajik side uses tanks, armoured personnel carriers, infantry fighting vehicles and mortars.
The border guards of Kyrgyzstan, in response to the armed aggression of the Tajik side, take adequate measures and use all available equipment and weapons to force the enemy to cease fire.
